Brief Update 2


Hey there! It's been about a month since my last update, but progress is being made and this projects is quickly coming to an end. The project has been receiving a lot of polish and general cleanup, here are some of the things that have been done:

  1. The graphics library has been updated to support fullscreen window transitions (via ALT + ENTER). This was done with the help of the D3D12 Fullscreen Sample.
  2. Some ambient music playback was added. I also plan to add sounds for selection as well.
  3. I began work on an asset packaging system to help bundle together some of the files that are loaded at runtime. I don't expect to have all files bundled together upon release, but at least a few of them will be going though this system.

Overall, the project is going pretty well and I hope that the additional polish will help the game play a bit more smoothly.
