The latest version of the game includes audio support. The audio files were downloaded from http://www.classicgaming.cc/classics/asteroids/ and I used Microsoft's XAudio2 API to control the audio playback. Besides adding audio playback support, I also needed to do some research (i.e. replay the original Asteroids version) to figure out how/when the particular sources should be triggered. This process also helped me find/fix some bugs that were in the my previous published version. All in all, I hope the addition of audio really helps you feel the nostalgia of the original Asteroids. Maybe you'll even go back and play it again too. Enjoy!
